About Nita’s Way of Giving

Nita’s Way was created in memory of my sister Nita Day. It is also dedicated in memory of my father and mother, (Hosie B and Frances Day). The purpose is to provide food items for 25 plus families during the holidays.

“Seasoned with Kindness”

In the spirit of the season, Nita’s Way of Giving embarked on a heartfelt journey this year, driving with purpose to our neighbors in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. My family and I set out along with the help of Mayor Eldridge Walker of Rolling Fork, to spread joy, share kindness, and serve up smiles. This mission reflects our commitment to extending a helping hand and ensuring that the warmth of holiday blessings reaches those families in need.

Hebrews 13:16 (NIV) “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

“Making Spirits Bright”

This year we would like to dedicate the website to my brother, Officer Harvey Day. Harvey always gave back to the communities of Lafayette, St. Martinville, and Duson, Louisiana. He served in law enforcement for over 20 years. Due to his strength, compassion, and positivity, he was able to make an impact on the lives of many people in the community.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 states: “We who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” As we move forward with another year we will continue to bless those in need.

Happy Holidays and stay safe,

Through tough times, we shall overcome.

This is the third year we have blessed those in need. This year, my family and I are very thankful to also dedicate Nita’s Way in the memory of my mother, Frances Day. My mother was always kind-hearted and I hope to continue this legacy by continuing to help those in need during the Christmas holidays.

Proverbs 11:25
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”

Happy Holidays and stay safe.

It’s That Time Again!

Nita’s Way of Giving gave back to 25 families within several communities in the Mississippi Delta from Sunflower county to Washington county. It was a very joyous occasion because many families were amazed by the kindness of strangers during the holiday season. My family and I joined together once again to fill the hearts of those in need for this Christmas.

Happy Holidays!

Big Day for Nita’s Way of Giving

December 22, 2018, was our big day to successfully deliver all of the items. Yes, we knew that it was time to step deep into the mud during the Christmas holidays. Our team worked hard to make sure the bags were stuffed and the names of the families would not be left behind. We laughed, we hugged and left a smile on each of the family’s faces.
